We are happy to announce that JoomlaLMS 1.0.7 has been launched! The following major innovations are now available:
Organizations' feature for JoomlaLMS (PRO edition only) – provides the possibility for different user groups (or sets of groups) to work with the LMS independently from each other, with their own user management, course management, reporting etc.
Recurrent payments (PRO edition only) will be available for the PayPal payment processor. Recurrent payments can also be implemented as payments by installments.
VirtueMart integration – you will now be able to sell JoomlaLMS courses via VirtueMart and use any payment method available in VirtueMart. Thanks to the smooth integration, your users will receive access to JoomlaLMS courses immediately after completing their payment.
Integration with JomSocial – JoomlaLMS will be integrated with JomSocial so that all LMS-related information about users will be shown in their JomSocial profiles.
Time-released content – instructors will have the option of rolling out their course content according to a specified timeline after learners have enrolled.
Export possibilities for all reporting/info/statistics tools – support of different export formats, such as CSV, XLS, PDF, TXT.
Email notifications - various automatic email notifications will be added for various LMS tools (e.g. notices concerning course enrolment, course completion, quiz completion, course purchases, etc.).
jComments and jReviews integration – provides participants with the ability to post comments about courses and for other users to rate comments based on their experiences. This functionality is developed using the jComments and jReviews plugins for Joomla!.
Improved Community Builder integration – a new set of plugins for CommunityBuilder will show LMS-related information about users in their profiles.
Learning Paths improvement – the Learning Paths contents menu will have expand/collapse capabilities for chapters and steps; instructors will also have access to improvements for populating learning paths.
Links tool improvement – enhancements will include instructors with options for opening web links and resources in inline frames or lightboxes.
SEF (Search Engine Friendly) plugins will be available from ArtioSef, sh404Sef and the native Joomla SEF.
DropBox tool improvements - will include individual file repositories, as well as, file sharing.
BackEnd translations – the new version will enable translation of the BackEnd administrator interface also; currently only the FrontEnd interface can be translated.
Joomla! CMS 1.6.x compatibility. Joomla! 1.0.x will no longer be supported, however there will be improvements for Joomla 1.5.x native compatibility and Joomla 1.6.x will be supported.
